Pre-Construction
We are seeing a substantial movement away from plan & spec projects (client-specified solutions) and more towards design build / design assist projects (co-created value solutions). Pre-Construction specializes in true partnership-focused mechanical design. Pre-Construction Managers walk the line of client sales and mechanical engineering. We are able to help shape client needs from a macro perspective, work with all partners in the project team, and present customized solutions that meet the broader goals.
Estimating
Our highly talented in-house Estimating Department, made up of Senior and Junior Estimators, has over 200+ years of combined mechanical and plumbing estimating experience. Working intricately with our other departments, they have mastered the art of plan & spec, design build, and design assist takeoff and pricing.
Project Management
Our Project Managers, each supported by their own dedicated team of Project Engineers, handle all forms of mechanical and plumbing build-outs. Ranging from ground-up commercial construction, to shell and core Tenant Improvement, or high impact Retrofit projects, our professional and highly skilled team offers on-time delivery and client-first solutions.
Fabrication
With a 287,000 square foot facility and state-of-the-art fabrication shop in Anaheim, CA, and another 55,000+ square foot facility in San Francisco, CA, we are able to produce all of our piping, duct, controls, and insulation needs. The ability to produce all of our components in-house reduces our need for outsourcing and middlemen, eliminating the potentially long wait for materials and products, and enabling us to meet timelines no matter the size of the project.
Plumbing
Given the strong success of our HVAC operations, plumbing was the natural next step. Over the past decade, we have developed, refined, and grown in our plumbing expertise. With a talented work family of plumbing engineers, estimators, fabricators, project managers, and field specialists, we have self-performed on hundreds of Tenant Improvement and New Construction projects. Our plumbing portfolio includes customized solutions in sectors such as Medical, Entertainment, Laboratory, Hotel, Resort, Office, Government, Education, Residential High-Rise, Corporate Facilities, and Civic and Commercial industries.
Engineering
With our sister company Optimum Energy Design, Control Air is a full-service Mechanical, Plumbing, Energy and Fire Protection Engineering and Commissioning Design Firm serving the Western United States. We have been instrumental in the design and optimization of many commercial facilities throughout California as well as Nevada and Arizona.
